Working on getting back to essay writing but I'm not quite there yet, same on finishing up old fanfiction (my daughter likes to chew me about that and she should, leaving a story unfinished for two years is bad form). I've done some work (hand written) on my novels but confess that all of June was a complete wipe out for me. Finishing fanfic will be good practice for other none fannish writing projects.

Sailor Moon has new animation coming out in 2013. I'm interested. I'd like to see how it goes and if it will be the beginning of a wave of updated animes from the 90's. Now that would peek my interest quite a bit more if it were to happen. Right at the moment I'm watching a few of my favorite animes because I do things by moods and this was the right mood for me.

I can't remember the last time I played a video game. As [personal profile] tsubaki_ny says, phases. I feel badly though. I have games. Games I really, really wanted, even if I did wait to buy them used and depreciated. And then...nothing. Phases, indeed.

I have a ton of books to read. A lot of which I bought on clearance and then promptly used as a decoration instead of reading. Says a lot about the last five years of my life that I haven't been reading or playing video games. Phases are one thing, depressed is another, huh?

I have baked brownies. I have dinner cooking in the crockpot. I am staring at the laundry and will hopefully convince myself to fold it. Perhaps. Maybe. It's possible.

I have found and loved on my Neo by Alphasmart. I have a slightly older model than the one she reviews but I can attest to how much I love it as a writing tool.

I'm doing all right. Peddling Oranges as it were, enjoying the small things. Right now I'm enjoying the second cup of a mint and green tea blend. My husband found it at Big Lots, a box of hundred for 4.50, organic with unbleached bags, and delicious. My husband doesn't drink tea and even he commented that they smell fantastic.

Not doing a lot of deep, meaningful thinking about life today. Just enjoying the day, enjoying that physically I am having a good day, and trying to decide between writing and reading.

Much love.

Don't feel too bad about unfinished stories. I've got stuff that's been lagging for at least 3 - hell, my 30 Kisses series is going into its sixth year now! Real life is just too much of a PITA that keeps interfering, heh.

Sometimes it really does, kicks you when you least expect it. I started this story during a relatively good time in my life and then my husband injured himself and the last two years happened. I think those are pretty much filed under "I survived".

Are you a fan of the manga/Anime FAKE? I'm writing in that fandom. All my other fandom stories are Petshop of Horrors. I wrote a couple fics as gifts for Supernatural too but primarily I stick to FAKE and Petshop of Horrors when it comes to fan activities.

I should make a point of reading your GetBacker fics. I will do so at some point. I've read some of them, chapters in progress and I know you do GB and Akabane very well.

Much love

I've heard of FAKE but haven't seen it myself. Is it the one where these two guys are cops and the one has a crush on the other?

Also have heard of Petshop of Horrors, but haven't seen that one either.

If you delve into my GB works (most of which are on ff net (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/346493/Amethyst_Hunter), but also on the [livejournal.com profile] getbackers community, or my journal - just look for the tags like "fanfic" or "get backers"), I recommend my personal favorites: The Keeper's Watch (in progress), Blood Oaths (also in progress - my larger fics tend to drag on!), and of course, anything from the ever-mounting 30 Kisses series (eternally in progress LOL).

I also have plenty of shorter GB fics: anything I've done with Akabane and Ginji tends to be short (because I see them as a comedy pairing, not a romantic one, as so many Aka/Gin fics do); I think the longest Aka/Gin I've written was Matchmaker, which is about 15 or so pages? (Memory escapes me)

Behind The Wheel is another good one I did, it's mostly an ongoing dialogue between Akabane and another of his fellow transporters, Maguruma (whom I love and who doesn't get nearly enough attention/praise in fandom). And if you like Teh Smuts (not that there's any shortage of that, LOL), Driven To Distraction (Ban/Akabane) is my favorite for that. I think I even shocked myself when I wrote it! :D

(Yesh, I loves meh fanfic, what can I say. XD )

*Hugs You*

Thank you for all the information on your GB!

And yes, FAKE is the one with the two cops. It's my all time favorite. I suspect you'd like PSoH quite a bit. Or at least you'll like Count D.

(I love my fanfic as well. I've made wonderful friends and had wonderful times through fandom.)

Glad you're doing all right and just enjoying the day. It's important, wise, necessary, good.

I think so. I take quite a bit of cheer from your posts and how you go about your days and adventures. Think I'm going to try and be a bit more like that myself.
